Day in the Life of Sales
What is the purpose of the Sales Development Team?
The purpose of the Sales Development team is to qualify prospective clients by answering their questions, but also having honest conversations with them about whether or not Ontraport is a right fit for them, and vise versa. By doing this, we can:
Pass on information about the leads to our Sales teams so they can have more efficient conversations
Increase sales of accounts and maintain clients who are a good fit
Communicate with our Media team about where our most qualified and least qualified leads are coming from. This information will be helpful so that they may adjust their marketing efforts accordingly
Another aspect of this position is to ensure that leads who have scheduled a Discovery, Strategy and/or Implementation Call attend that call. This will allow you to remind them of the appointment, gather more information to pass back to the Conversion team, and should the lead no longer be interested or need to reschedule, you can do this for them and free up availability on the calendars.

Training
We'll have ongoing training during the first month(s) of starting your new position in Tier 1 Sales. Some will be self-guided with quizzes and activities to complete, while others will be lead in "person" by me and/or someone else who manages that specific Training Topic.
During the training, you'll be required to create and build a functioning business within your Ontraport Demo account. Each step will require that you implement the training topic into your business. So if we training on integrating a Scheduling platform with Ontraport, you will create a usecase to apply that to your business and build it in your account. This way you can reacquaint yourself to building in your account (that's NOT troubleshooting/testing) and also get a feel for what our clients experience in our app.
Activity
Go into Gmail and create message templates for each task in the event that the lead doesn't answer your call, and you need to email them.
